FUTURE FOREVER VICTORIOUS
In 1886 the club was founded by 15 workers at the Royal Arsenal Armaments Factory in Woolwich,
London. The team initially called itself Dial Square after the workshops at the center of the factory.
Royal Arsenal soon replaced Dial Square before a more permanent name change to Woolwich
Arsenal came into effect in 1893. Woolwich was dropped following the move to Highbury in
1913/14. The Gunners eventually moved to Highbury Stadium in North London in 1913. They have
continued to paint the town red ever since. The years at Highbury saw the pioneering tactics on
Herbert Chapman, the birth of the iconic red shirts with white sleeves in 1933, a 1950 FA Cup
win (one of many in the club’s history), the team’s first double in 1970/71, and the 1989 miracle
win with a goal by Michael Thomas in the second half’s stoppage time. Under the watchful eye
of Arsène Wenger, the winning tradition continues. The Invincibles team in 2003/04 – featuring
Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg – went 49 matches unbeaten in the Premier League to set a
new record. Arsenal moved to Emirates 2006, kicking off a new legacy.

FROM DORTMUND WITH ECHTE LIEBE
A city can be defined by many things. But a city defined by its team is a special sort of place.
Dortmund lives and breathes schwarzgelb. More than a city or team, it’s a tradition. It’s Echte
Liebe. True love. It’s an attitude towards life that keeps BVB fans on their feet screaming for more.
In 1966, BVB became the first ever German club to win a European title, and its fan base proceeded
to grow. It currently stretches around the world and back again to Dortmund’s iconic ‘Yellow Wall’
in Signal Iduna Park. Their stadium is one of the largest – and loudest – in Germany and the eighth
largest in Europe. Home games are packed with what’s considered to be some of the most loyal
fans in football. The team’s recent run in the 2013 UEFA Champions League™ proved to be the sort
of stuff that a city and team live for: hard-fought victories, an historic comeback, and a second-
place finish in a season that will be forever remembered by fans.

THE BOYS IN BLUE
Gli Azzurri is one of the most successful national football teams. Ever. The team played their first
match in 1910, but it was during the 1930s that they truly kicked off their legacy. In 1934, Italy
hosted the second ever FIFA World Cup™. It was the team’s first world tournament and resulted
in their first star. They went on to win Olympic™ gold in 1936 and another FIFA World Cup™ in
1938. A third star was added to their badge in 1982. An epic fourth was won in 2006, proving that
blue is never more passionate – on pitch, in the stands, on televisions around the world – than
it is every four years. The PUMA and FIGC partnership began in 2003. It has since developed kit
designs that complement Gli Azzurri’s inherent style and winning tradition. Through heritage-
inspired product details and modern technologies, the shirts recognize that blue is more than
just a color: blue is a legacy all its own.
