The folk music group Offerdals Spelmanslag was we have recorded eight albums and played in the

Additionally, it was our turn to invite our three
Norwegian partner folk music groups for an inten-
sive music weekend in Offerdal, in true “Lapp-Nils
tradition”. Lapp-Nils was a legendary master fiddler
from Jämtland and Offerdal in the 19th century. We
meet roughly every two years to learn tunes and
traditions from one another, usually concluding the
gatherings with a joint public performance – a way to

Offerdals SK

Offerdals SK is the local sports club for the local
people, with a little over 400 members. Here, all
children and young people in the parish of Offerdal
are made to feel welcome and enjoy being part of the
community. Our goals are joy in movement, camara-
derie, and personal development.

Founded in 1961, the club has worked long-term
on helping children and young people to develop
in sports, creating lifelong interest in skiing and an
active lifestyle among the locals. Our club spirit has
nurtured several generations of skiers, resulting in
numerous elite-level athletes with both national and
