Preface

Danir Group is an entrepreneur-driven company owned by the Dan Olofsson family. In addition to long-term
entrepreneurship, the Group has long focused on social commitment in a number of non-profit projects that
in various ways aim to create positive societal development – both in Sweden and in other parts of the world.
In recent years, sustainability and climate impact have become central issues that engage everyone – com-
panies within the Danir Group as well as Danir’s employees. Customers of the Danir Group are also making
increasingly concrete demands on their suppliers regarding the reporting of sustainability work and emissions.
In addition to Danir’s own internal sustainability work – which is the focus of the information presented in
this GHG inventory report – the companies of the Danir Group are highly involved in the transition in society
through the consultancy services that Danir regularly provides to its customers in the areas of digitalisation
and electrification.

Danir is a decentralised Group in which the constituent companies work autonomously with an entrepreneurial
focus. It is largely up to the individual companies how they choose to work with environmental and climate
issues. There are currently several different environmental initiatives within the Danir Group. These range
from developing climate-neutral services to helping customers deliver on their sustainability goals through
data collection methods for more effective sustainability reporting.

In 2023, it was decided to once again – in addition to the company specific commitments – conduct a
comprehensive GHG inventory for the Group for 2022, in accordance with the most widely used international
accounting standard for greenhouse gas emissions – the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP). We did this to
map out the companies’ greenhouse gas emissions and, based on the results, gain insight into where we should
focus our emission reduction measures. It also enables the Group to gain an understanding of the effect of
climate action and thereby be able to set more ambitious environmental targets.

Together with sustainability consultants at Sigma Industry Development, Danir has collected and analysed
emissions data from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022.

Pleasant reading!
