                                                          MAIN HALL

                                                          Riiko Sakkinen is known for his drawings and
                                                          paintings highlighting the world’s economic
                                                          and social problems. Sakkinen uses characters
                                                          and products from popular culture, turning the
                                                          product’s message on its head.

                                                          STUDIO I

                                                          Douglas Knesse’s imagery draws from nature while
                                                          turning inward toward spiritual listening and attune-
                                                          ment. Influenced by Brazilian Neo-Concrete art, the
                                                          practice emphasizes presence, process, and senso-
                                                          rial experience. It values unseen labor, uncertainty,
                                                          and slow transformation, creating space for pause
                                                          and spiritual inquiry rather than fixed outcomes.

                                                          STUDIO II

                                                          Johanna Saikkonen’s paintings depict tightly
                                                          cropped faces and body parts. She paints skin ex-
                                                          pressively, emphasizing veins, pores and hair. She
                                                          speaks on the subject: “I intentionally exaggerate
                                                          the fleshiness of the figures in my paintings.
