In the mixed-media works of Jason Craighead,
drawing, painting and writing are fused together
seamlessly. The surprising compositions and a
fragile balance between the frantic pencil marks,
large areas of colour and the opposites of soft
washes of white paired with deep black bring
tension and drama on the canvas.

STUDIO I

Tapio Mömmö’s oil paintings engage with atmos-
pheres and surreal occurrences, which he creates
by blending and merging diverse forms and ele-
ments together. Human figures frequently ap-
pear in his compositions, serving as passive ob-
servers or active participants in enigmatic events
and ambiguous frameworks.

TOMEK

STUDIO II

Pablo Tomek uses industrial cleaning sponges for
painting, applying the paint in expressive gestures
on large canvases. Water flows through the work-
ing process when he wields the power of a pressure
washer to remove still-wet layers of paint. From
the shapes left behind Tomek begins to create the
composition of the painting.
