Jonni Cheatwood is a Los Angeles based painter
who mixes oil, oil sticks, acrylics and textile in his
works. The canvases are built out of pieces of fab-
rics, which are unified together almost like a puz-
zle. Cheatwood’s original inspiration for painting
started in graffiti, moving onwards to the action
painting of abstract expressionism.

LUKKARINEN

STUDIO I

Sami Lukkarinen’s art is based on pictures he finds
from the internet, pixelates and then paints with
oil colours. The exceptional and detailed surface
texture, particular understanding of colours and
an organized composition give a baseline to these
contemporary works bordering on impressionism.

GISPERT

STUDIO II

Luis Gispert is a Cuban American artist whose work
spans photography, sculpture, film, and painting.
Across mediums, he has examined the aesthetics
of subculture, aspiration, and value in American
life, often bringing vernacular forms into dialogue
with art history and questions of identity.
